DANNY FERRY
Age: 34.Home: 405 Chestnut St., Leetonia.Employment: Sales estimator, Rance Industries, June 2001. Education: Associate degree in drafting and design, Youngstown State University; Leetonia High School graduate, 1985.Family: Wife, Caroline; two children.Priority: "Raising proficiency test scores so Leetonia graduates are better prepared for the next step in their lives, whether it is college or specialized technical school, etc. I believe Leetonia graduates who live in Leetonia should be priority candidates for available teaching positions."
DAVID KORNBAU
Age: 49.Home: 135 Chris Ave., Washingtonville.Employment: Boardman High School principal.Education: Youngstown State University, master's and bachelor's degrees in education.Family: Wife, Anita; three children.Priority: As the district prepares to enter into a new era with a new building set to open, a new superintendent to be hired, and new labor agreements to be negotiated with certified and classified personnel, it is vitally important that the management of resources and facilites is the best available. Personnel issues in conjunction with a desperate need for curriculum improvement are pressing issues which must be addressed.
GERALD VAN FOSSAN
Age: 57.Home: 3249 Grafton Road, Leetonia.Employment: Fairfield Machine, manager, has worked at Fairfield Machine since 1973.Education: Leetonia High School graduate.Family: Wife, Nancy; two children.Priority: To finish the new school in a timely fashion without spending any additional money. To improve proficiency test scores by hiring additional teachers and paying our present teachers better. To try and reduce property taxes.
DENNIS FALZETTA*
Age: 49Home: 38664 Butcher Road, Salem Township.Employment: Leetonia Board of Education.Education: Leetonia High School graduate.Family: Wife, Carolyn; two children.Priority: To see our new K-12 building project completed on time, and develop a complete sports complex. Improve and expand educational opportunities and seek more opportunities for student scholarships.
JOE WILSON
Age: 52.Home: 153 Pine St., Leetonia.Employment: Eljer Plumbingware, supervisor, 32 years.Education: West Branch High School graduate, 1967.Family: Wife, Kathy, three children.Priority: To keep education of students as a first priority. To enter our new school with a positive, honest attitude for the students and their parents.
