DANIEL POLIVKA (D)*
Age: 38.Home: 160 Country Club Drive S.E.Employment: Vice president, Polivka Surface Engineering.Education: Howland High School graduate; attended Youngstown State University.Family: Wife, JoAnn; one son; one daughter.Priority: To spend Community Development Block Grant money for infrastructure in neighborhoods and for major street improvements; ensure the city makes good on promises for spending revenues from additional income tax.
NIKI FRENCHKO-NAGY (R)
Age: 27.Home: 258 Mulberry Ave. N.W.Employment: Student.Education: Bachelor's degree, Youngstown State University; plans to graduate in May from Kent State University with a master's degree in public administration.Family: Husband, Jay, two daughters and a son.Priority: Fiscal responsibility, implement recommendations in a state performance audit, eventually phase out the additional 0.5 percent income tax increase, eliminate cronyism and demand accountability for all levels of government.
