WALTER P. AVDEY
Age: 63 Home: 4599 Milligan RoadEmployment: Coitsville Trustee since 1986; owner and manager of rental properties, Avdey Enterprises. Education: Struthers High School graduate; attended YSU.Family: wife, the former Judy Sturm; son, Walter; and daughter, Andrea.Priority: To improve all existing township services, seek all available grants for the township, and remove the township from the Youngstown City School District.
GERALD M. BACKO
Age: 39.Home: 6262 McGuffey Road Extension.Employment: Coitsville Trustee since 1998; emergency medical technician at Rural Metro Ambulance since 1988, previously an EMT with Higgins Ambulance; owns and operates a family grain farm.Education: East High School plus two years of college.Family: Single.Priority: Improving the township while maintaining its rural aspects; solving township problems, including road maintenance, drainage, grass-cutting and litter control.
ANTHONY F. NOLFI JR.
Age: 43Home: 78 Bedford RoadEmployment: Construction manager for Western Reserve Mechanical for the past four years; president of A.F. Nolfi Plumbing and Heating for five years.Education: 1976 graduate of Lowellville High School; attended YSU; took business and technology classes at Washtenaw College in Michigan.Family: wife, Phyllis; children, Anthony, Nick, Mike, Rocky, and Gianna.Priority: Removing the township from the Youngstown City School District; developing more policies and procedures for elected officials and other employees of the township to assure accountability.
