CANTON -- Walsh quarterback Winston Woods scored the game's only offensive touchdown in a 17-0 victory over Tiffin.
Woods' 1-yard run late in the first half made the score 10-0 for the Cavaliers (7-2 overall, 4-0 Mid-States Football Association), who won their fifth straight game.
Cavs waive Slater
CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Cavaliers waived forward Reggie Slater on Thursday as they moved to cut their roster from 16 to 12 by the Monday night deadline.
The team can carry as many as three players on injured reserve; two of those spots are likely to be occupied by Zydrunas Ilgauskas (foot) and Tyrone Hill (back).
Crew, Andrulis agree to 2-year deal
COLUMBUS -- Greg Andrulis, who led the Columbus Crew to a 12-4-4 record after taking over six games into last season, has agreed to a two-year contract with the team, the club said Thursday.
Andrulis, 43, was promoted when the Crew fired Tom Fitzgerald May 17.

*MILWAUKEE -- The Bucks signed All-Star forward Anthony Mason to a four-year, $21 million contract. Mason averaged 16.1 points and 9.6 rebounds for Miami last season.
*PHILADELPHIA -- Charlotte traded forward Derrick Coleman to the 76ers in a three-team trade involving Golden State.
The Hornets get forwards George Lynch, Robert Traylor and Jerome Moiso from Philadelphia and forward Chris Porter from Golden State.
The Warriors get forward Cedric Henderson and a conditional first-round draft pick in 2005 from Philadelphia, as well as cash from Charlotte. The Sixers also get guard Vonteego Cummings and forward Corie Blount from Golden State.
