Judge orders Austintown man to jail
WARREN -- A 20-year-old Austintown man who awaits sentencing for his role in the Sept. 2, 2000, shooting of a 13-month-old boy, is no longer allowed to stay on house arrest.
Judge W. Wyatt McKay ordered Wednesday that Odomie Wellington be placed in jail until his February sentencing.
Prosecutors told the judge that Wellington was not following the conditions of the house arrest. Wellington was suppose to stay at his house except to leave for court or a doctor's appointment.
Wellington, 20, of Vollmer Drive, pleaded guilty in September to charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and felonious assault. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
