BELOIT -- The district semifinal girls soccer game between West Branch and Walsh Jesuit will be played tonight at 7 at West Branch High School.

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Robert Morris at Youngstown State soccer match Tuesday was postponed because of inclement weather. The match will be played tonight at Stambaugh Stadium at 7.
Harmon secondin golf event
BOWLING GREEN -- Youngstown State men's golfer Ryan Harmon finished second at the BGSU John Piper Intercollegiate Invitational golf tournament, one stroke behind John Schones of Wright State.
Harmon shot 74 Tuesday to finish with a three-round 214. YSU's Jonah Karzmer finished 10th with a 221 to lead the Penguins to a third-place team finish with a score of 890.
Bowling Green won the event with 882.
YSU's Matasekshoots 74
WAYNESVILLE, N.C. -- Youngstown State women's golfer Stephanie Matasek finished in second place, one shot in back of Western Carolina's Line Cordes at the Great Smokies Women's Collegiate Golf Invitational.
Matasek shot 74 Tuesday for a two-round 147, three over par.
YSU finished 10th in the team competition with a total of 633. Elon won the event with 612.
3 J-M leadersare cited
NORTH JACKSON -- Three Jackson-Milton High football players should have been listed in Monday's "Weekend Leaders" feature.
Sophomore quarterback Zack Nicholas scored every point the Bluejays registered in their 26-6 win over Mathews. Nicholas rushed for three touchdowns, return an interception for a score and ran in a conversion play. He passed for 154 yards by completing nine of 20 passes.
Lee Keck caught seven passes for 137 yards. Senior tailback Dan Hallas rushed for 104 yards on 21 carries.
Marshall tripis offered
YOUNGSTOWN -- Pan Atlas Travel of Youngstown is offering a one-day charter motorcoach trip to the Youngstown State-Marshall football game on Nov. 24 in Huntington, W.Va.
Cost of the trip is $60 and includes roundtrip transportation and a box lunch. The trip does not include the game ticket which can be purchased from the YSU ticket office for $15.

Gold medalist arrested
LOS ANGELES -- Olympic gold medalist Jon Drummond was arrested Tuesday for investigation of transporting marijuana through Los Angeles International Airport.
Drummond, a member of the United States' 400-meter relay team in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, was booked for transporting a controlled substance, a felony offense, said Deputy Roberta Granek of the county Sheriff's Department. He was held in lieu of $20,000 bail pending an arraignment Thursday morning, Granek said.
Drug task force members were monitoring departing flights at an airport terminal before dawn Tuesday when they arrested Raynard Beckham as he tried to leave the terminal with two audio speaker boxes containing marijuana, Granek said.
Beckham was jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail, pending arraignment on Thursday.
Granek said subsequent surveillance led the task force members to Drummond.

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Angels exercised their $5.25 million option for next season on closer Troy Percival. The four-time All-Star had 39 saves in 42 chances this year. He was 4-2 with a 2.65 ERA. Percival has a club-record 210 saves.
Braves firehitting coach
ATLANTA -- Hitting coach Merv Rettenmund was fired by the Braves, two days after their season ended with a Game 5 loss to Arizona in the NL championship series.
The Braves hit just .260 this season -- .247 in the postseason -- and their offensive numbers declined from 2000, Rettenmund's first year with the team.
