Niles defeats Irish on goal by Ziegler

NILES -- Paul Ziegler scored with 14 minutes remaining to lead the Niles High boys soccer team past Ursuline 2-1 in a Division II district semifinal Monday.
The Red Dragons (10-5-3) will play at Metro Athletic Conference rival Canfield for the district title Thursday at 7 p.m. The Cardinals defeated Salem 2-1.
Eric Faith scored early in the second half for Niles, which has never advanced this far in the tournament. Brett Gatta made eight saves in goal.
Ursuline (10-7-1) got its goal in the first half by P.J. Graves, with an assist by Daniel Graig. Goalkeepers Dan Frank and Ryan Coffey made three and two saves, respectively, for the Irish.
