Boardman store employee robbed

BOARDMAN -- A 22-year-old employee of Sally Beauty Supply was held at knife point as a female robber stole several hundred dollars in cash and checks intended for bank deposit, township police reports show.
The employee said she had left the business, at 4300 Market St., to go to her car, which was parked in the lot of a neighboring business at about noon Monday. The robber held a hard object to her back and threatened to shoot her if she did not go to the back of the building.
The robber and employee went back inside the business, where the robber held a 5-inch serrated knife to the employee's neck and demanded two bank bags of money. The robber, described as being in her 30s, then fled on foot.
