Oct. 9
Arrest: A 25-year-old Campbell man was arrested and charged with violating probation.
Theft by deception: A woman and man shortchanged the cashier $60 at Denny's, 4070 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A purse with $40, a checkbook and four credit cards was stolen at the Liberty Plaza, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Theft: $30 was stolen from the register drawer at Save-A-Lot, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A woman stole an undisclosed number of checks from a residence in the 3000 block of Hadley Avenue.
Theft: A woman stole two cartons of cigarettes from Smoker Friendly, 3814 Belmont Ave., after trying to pay with a bad check.
Criminal damage: Someone broke into a vehicle in the 4000 block of Logangate Road, damaged the dashboard and stole a CD player.
Arrest: Police arrested an 18-year-old Bloomfield man and a 27-year-old Warren man at Speedway, 4210 Belmont Ave., and charged them with drug abuse and drug paraphernalia.

Arrest: A 39-year-old Girard man was arrested in the 3000 block of Belmont Avenue and charged with possession of crack cocaine.
Theft: A shotgun was stolen from a room at the Super 8 Motel, 4250 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A motorcycle was stolen from a garage in the 3000 block of Hadley Avenue.
Theft: A license plate was stolen from a utility trailer in the 100 block of West Montrose Street.
Breaking and entering: A 24-year-old Austintown man was arrested on suspicion of breaking into Monroe Muffler, 3713 Belmont Ave.

Fraud: A 50-year-old Youngstown woman is suspected of collecting insurance from a home in the 5000 block of Sampson Avenue.
Oct. 12
Arrest: Police arrested a 19-year-old Girard man and charged him with complicity to theft.
Criminal damage: Someone knocked over support pillars at Green Acre Apartments, 3002 Green Acres.
Criminal damage: A man entered a home through three screens in the 1000 block of Liberty Avenue.

Theft: A woman stole $200 from a room at the Comfort Inn, 4055 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A woman stole a bottle of wine and a bottle of liquor from TrueNorth, 3990 Belmont Ave.

Bad checks: A man paid with a bad check at Data Solutions, 1282 Trumbull Ave.
Theft: Someone stole two aluminum poles, a jack, a brake and a plank from a home in the 200 block of Potter Circle.
Child endangering: A 22-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested at the Liberty Plaza, 3551 Belmont Ave., and charged with leaving her children in the car.
Criminal damage: Someone broke a lock and hasp to a shed in the 1000 block of Trumbull Avenue.
Aggravated robbery: A man with a gun stole money at the Hampton Inn, 4400 Belmont Ave.
Theft: Someone broke into a vehicle, causing $4,800 damage, and stole college books, a laptop computer, a radar detector and CDs in the 1000 block of Will-O-Wood Drive.
Theft: Someone stole two semi-truck batteries in the 2000 block of Belmont Avenue.
Criminal damage: Someone did $300 damage with a sharp object to the hood and two doors of a vehicle in the 1000 block of Leslie Lane.
Theft: A man stole hair clippers worth $200 from Sally's Beauty Supply, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A purse containing $225 a license, and a checkbook was stolen from a cart at Goodwill, 2747 Belmont Ave.
