Greenville takes individual honors in Mercer CC meet

GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Greenville High School had both individual winners but the Trojans won neither team title in the Mercer County Athletic Conference cross country meet Saturday.
Jed Christiansen of Greenville High ran a 15 minutes, 47 seconds time to take the boy's individual title in a meet won by the West Middlesex team with 35 points.
Paul Mastrone of Grove City was second (15:54) and Brad Ruffo of West Middlesex was third (15:57).
The Grove City team was second overall with 57 points, trailed by Greenville (63), Hickory (162) and Slippery Rock (168).
In the girl's meet, Jesi Christiansen of Greenville ran a 17:54 to take first and she was followed by Erin Cramer-Hart of Slippery Rock (18:55) and Beth Kenniston of Grove City (19:11).
Hickory won the girl's team title with 65 points while Slippery Rock was second with 76, Mercer was third with 99, Greenville was fourth (104) and Grove City took fifth (113).
