BOARDMAN -- The marriage of Doreen Patricia Golubich and Leo Howard Connelly Jr., both of Austintown, was solemnized by the Rev. Dr. D. Larry Kline during a 5 p.m. ceremony Sept. 23 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
The couple were honored afterward during a reception at Mr. Anthony's before leaving on a wedding trip to Las Vegas.
Since their return, they live at 60 N. Raccoon Road, Austintown.
The bride, a daughter of Joan Golubich of Youngstown and the late Tom Golubich, wore a sheath gown embellished with pearls, sequins and lace, and featuring a halter neckline and a detachable chapel train. She held a cascade bouquet of white roses.
Platinum gowns were worn by the bride's sisters, Barbara Colantone of Anahiem, Calif., the honor attendant, and Joni Hamrock of Coitsville and Dorothy Mitchell of Boardman, bridesmaids. The groom's granddaughter, Tiffany Connelly of Vineland, N.J., was flower girl.
The duties of best man and ring bearer were performed by the groom's son, Anthony Connelly of Boardman, and serving as groomsmen were another son of the groom, Art Connelly of Vineland, and the groom's brother, John Conley of Columbus.
The groom, a veteran of the Vietnam War, is executive vice president of Acme Steak Co. in Youngstown.
