NILES -- Ireland was the honeymoon destination of Shawn McKinley and his bride, the former Carrie Wilson, both of 5830 Garden Hill Lane, Dublin, Ohio, following their marriage Sept. 22 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Monsignor Nicholas Mitolo officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held at McMenamy's.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wilson, 51 Gilbert Ave., and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis McKinley, 687 Straub Road, Mansfield.
An account executive with Careworks in Dublin, Mrs. McKinley earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at Ohio University in Athens.
Mr. McKinley graduated from OU with a bachelor's in political science and earned a juris doctor degree at Capital University Law School, Columbus. He is a policy research coordinator with the Industrial Commission of Ohio in Columbus.
Gold and silver English net adorned the bride's white satin gown styled with a strapless bodice and chapel train.
Andrea Bucci of Alexandria, Va., was honor attendant. She wore a silver dress, as did the bridesmaids, Sarah Bennett of Powell; Kris Rourke and Amy Rose, both of Columbus; and Amanda Kress of Weston.
Christopher Castle of Powell performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Lawrence Wilson of Columbus and Michael Wilson of Niles, the bride's brothers; Michael McKinley of Mansfield, the groom's brother; and Marc Mathies, St. Clair Shores, Mich.
