POLAND -- Paul Michael Jones of Austintown and his bride, the former Carrie Elizabeth Smolko of Petersburg, were honored during a reception at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman following their marriage Sept. 22 at New Life Assembly of God. The Rev. Daniel Lund presided at 3:30 p.m. for the children of Joseph and Marie Smolko of Petersburg and William and Diane Jones, 280 Marcia Drive, Austintown.
Afterward the couple left for a honeymoon on a Disney cruise.
A software engineer at Notify Technology Corp. in Canfield, the bride graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in computer science.
Mr. Jones graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering technology from YSU. He is a component engineer at Delphi Packard Electric Systems, Warren.
The bride wore a white sleeveless gown of satin and Battenberg lace styled with a full skirt.
Cari Havaich of Austintown and Lori Smith of Oxford, Ala., the bride's sister, were honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Lisa Sicafuse and Emily Shurilla, both of New Middletown, and Christina Gurnak of Cleveland Heights. They wore black dresses. Flower girls were Megan and Diana Sankey of Mineral Ridge, the groom's cousins.
Greg Sinchak, Austintown was best man. Groomsmen were John Jones, Austintown, the groom's brother; Isaac Smolko, Petersburg, the bride's brother; Stan Sikora,. Cedar Falls, Iowa; and Scott Buckner, New Castle, Pa.
The couple live in Austintown.
