Baseball facility to open in November

NORTH LIMA -- Boardman High School baseball coach Scott Knox has announced the opening of Line Drive Baseball/Softball Academy at 383 Forest Ave., North Lima.
The facility will open in November and offer private, small-group and team instruction; team rentals for practice; and videotaping for ages 7-21.
Knox also will offer special programs for high school teams, including one-, two- and three-month programs where teams can workout from four to 14 times over the period.
According to Knox, the facility will feature two batting tunnels, portable pitching mounds and areas for tee and soft-toss hitting drills.
Knox, who coached Boardman to the Division I state semifinals last spring, formerly played in the Pittsburgh Pirates' farm system after a college career at Manatee (Fla.)
