Pastor to be honored
LAKE MILTON -- Lakeview Assembly of God will honor Pastor C. Michael Levelle, its pastor since 1993, with an appreciation service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Levelle, a minister since January 1983, has also served as a military chaplain and chaplain for the Lake Milton Police Department. A dinner will follow.
24th anniversary
YOUNGSTOWN -- Caanan Missionary Baptist Church will have a banquet celebrating the 24th pastoral anniversary of its leader, the Rev. Dr. Cornelius Booker Sr. He's also a chaplain for the Youngstown Police Department. The banquet is at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27. Tickets are $30. Call (330) 746-3854.

NILES -- First Baptist Church will have a reception following the service at 6 p.m. Sunday to recognize the 20th anniversary of Pastor G. Ben Reed, who began his ministry with the church in June 1981.
Harvest Heroes

Musical celebration
YOUNGSTOWN -- Mahoning United Methodist Church will have a music celebration during its service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday featuring its bell, children's and chancel choirs and praise band. Youths in the church's MUMPS program will also present their first puppet show.
Fall revival
YOUNGSTOWN -- Christian Bible Baptist Church will present its fall revival titled "Pressing Toward the Mark" at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. The Rev. Hubert Clardy, chief fire inspector of the Youngstown fire department and associate minister of Faith Temple Baptist Church will speak. Area churches will provide praise and worship music with featured musician Ray Bonner of Youngstown. Refreshments will be served from 6:30 to 7 p.m.
Statler concert set
POLAND -- Mark Statler will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at Poland United Methodist Church. Statler went from singing in the country church he pastored to being a regular performer with the Jamboree U.S.A. and opening for national acts, such as the Judds.
Harvest rally
YOUNGSTOWN -- Butler Memorial Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) will present its annual fall harvest rally at 3 p.m. Sunday. The speaker will be Leonard Moyer, loan officer at Home Savings & amp; Loan Bank. Harvest baskets will be blessed and given to the needy.

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown says that as of Monday, $73,344 had been collected and forwarded to Catholic Charities USA to assist in response to the Sept. 11 attacks in New York, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania.
