DISTRICT Grimm leads Wildcats in win over Ledgemont

Beaver Local beat Wellsville 39-17 at home.
THOMPSON -- Tim Grimm rushed for 140 yards on 21 carries Friday as Southington defeated Ledgemont 29-14.
Grimm scored on touchdown runs of 1 and 55 yards for the Wildcats (5-3, 2-1 ESL).
Southington is ranked sixth in this week's computer ratings for Division VI Region 21.
Ledgemont quarterback Jon Radabaugh (4-5, 2-2) completed 3-of-8 passes for 101 yards, including touchdown strikes to Jeff Dayton for 65 yards and Byron Wolcott for 5 yards.
Beaver Local 39, Wellsville 17: LISBON -- The Beavers (5-4) scored 13 points in the third quarter and 13 more in the fourth period.
The Beavers' Jeremy Shaw gained 126 yards on 12 carries, including touchdown runs of 30 and 6 yards.
Teammate Jordan Williams rushed for 81 yards on 11 attempts, including touchdown runs of 7 and 6 yards.
Shayne Rose of Wellsville (6-3) caught 36 and 29-yard touchdown passes from quarterback Marc Lascola, who 6-of-16 for 101 yards.
The Tigers are the sixth-ranked team in the computer ratings for Region 23.
