The city's board of control -- the mayor, law and finance directors -- approved these items Thursday:
A contract not to exceed $223,300 with the state or a private vendor for 11 Ford Crown Victoria police cars.A $59,440 contract with Kiesler Police Supply, Jeffersonville, to supply 240 Sig Sauer .40-caliber semiautomatic pistols to the police department, to replace 9mm semiautomatic pistols.A $39,180 contract with Millar Elevator Service to maintain city elevators.A $5,245 contract with Best Buy Marine for a new rescue boat for the fire department.A contract with Mahoning County for after-hours and weekend services of a deputy dog warden in the city.A three-year contract with the International Association of Firefighters Local 312, retroactive to Sept. 1.
