Three thefts reported in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN -- A copy machine, a color TV, and three curling irons are among the items stolen in the township Wednesday night.
The copy machine and color TV, along with a VCR, were taken from the A-1 Driving School on Idlewood Drive.
The owner of the driving school told police that between 8 and 9 p.m. Wednesday, someone crawled into the school through an unlocked window and took the TV and VCR. The person then used a pry tool to enter the school office, where the copy machine was taken. The total value of the stolen items is $3,500.
Other thefts: Police also are investigating a report that three curling irons, two hair dryers, and several cosmetics and perfumes were stolen Wednesday night from an unlocked car on Maplecrest Drive.
In addition, police received a call early today that two men were standing by a truck in a Breezewood Drive driveway. The men ran when police arrived.
A CD player and several CDs that had been removed from the truck were found on a nearby lawn. Police also found that several cars in neighboring driveways were open, but nothing was stolen.
