BOARDMAN -- Two area hockey teams will square off Saturday for charity.
The Youngstown State University Penguins will play the Northeast Ohio High School Hockey All Stars at 7:30 p.m. at the Ice Zone, 360 McClurg Road. The Northeast Ohio High School Hockey All Stars includes players from Cardinal Mooney, Ursuline, Boardman, North Canton Hoover, Poland and Canfield high schools.
Sponsors say the fund-raising event will raise money and awareness to help benefit local children with cancer and their families. The event will feature a local child from the Make A Wish Foundation as a guest.
There will also be two alumni members from the Pittsburgh Penguins on hand. The alumni will serve as celebrity coaches for the two teams.
The event is sponsored by the Mother's Hope Foundation in conjunction with the Make A Wish Foundation. The cost is $5 at the door, and all proceeds will go to benefit the Mother's Hope Foundation and will remain in the area.
