Baby's autopsy information is unavailable

YOUNGSTOWN -- The cause of death for a city 11-month-old who died Oct. 11 will not be determined for four to six weeks, a coroner's spokeswoman said today.
Police reports show that Leroy Huff Jr. had suffered a crushed skull while his grandmother baby-sat him and his brother at their North Garland Avenue home two days before his death.
A death certificate will be filed at the Youngstown Health District without a cause of death until one is determined over the next several weeks, said a spokeswoman at the Trumbull County Coroner's office, where the death is being investigated. She said the case is being handled in Trumbull County because the child died at Tod Children's Hospital and Trumbull County handles cases from there.
Because Trumbull pathologists were at an out-of-town conference, an autopsy was performed by the Cuyahoga County coroner's office. The Trumbull County coroner remains in charge of the investigation.
Police reports state the boy's grandmother found him not breathing and unresponsive on the floor about a half-hour after she had put him down for a nap on a mattress and box springs.
