Oct. 10
Burglary: A female apartment owner reported a break-in at her residence with the front door kicked in and a few pills from prescription bottles stolen.
Theft: A Youngstown man reported that his wallet had been stolen in Austintown on Sept. 9, and since then $400 had been taken from his account. Since the wallet disappeared, the thief had deposited empty deposit envelopes at automated teller machines at four Bank One branches in the amount of $100 each time and then withdrew $100 from the account four times.

Theft: Four cars stored at M & amp;M Auto Sales, 470 W. Main St., were broken into and these items were taken from the vehicles: radios and compact disc changers, a television set and stereo faces.

Theft: A vehicle was damaged and compact disc players were stolen from it in the residential 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.
Felonious assault: Two men were assaulted with a baseball bat by a man in the 1000 block of Compass West apartments.
Auto theft: A 1997 Chevrolet Lumina was reported stolen from the 1000 block of Fountain Square.
Burglary: A break-in was reported in the 2000 block of South Canfield-Niles Road. Details of what was taken were unavailable at the time of the report.

Criminal damage: A vehicle was damaged by a sharp object in the residential 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.
Theft: A cell phone was reported stolen from The Mill, 1743 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: Police issued a man a summons for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia at Rulli Bros., 4331 Kirk Road.
Theft: Halloween decorations were stolen from a residence in the 1000 block of Penny Lane.

Misuse of a credit card: An employee is accused of misuse of a credit card with two separate charges, one for $45.50 and another for $52.01 at the Shell service station store, 3670 S. Meridian Road.
Burglary: An answering machine was taken from the 1000 block of Moorefield Avenue.
Criminal damage: A flagpole and light were damaged in the 4000 block of Wedgewood Road.

Assault: A 13-year-old girl was reportedly assaulted by her stepfather in the 60 block of Kleber Avenue.
