AUCTIONS

XSt. Stanislaus Church, 420 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will hold its annual Chinese auction Sunday. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., and drawing will be conducted at 2 p.m. Cost is $3 per person and includes a free refreshment. Other refreshments will be sold. BAZAARS
XBraceville United Methodist Church, Route 82 in the park, will hold its annual Harvest Bazaar and dinner Saturday. The event will begin with breakfast at 9:30 a.m., and lunch will be served at noon. A turkey or ham dinner with all the trimmings will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. Craft tables will feature homemade children's clothes, Christmas decorations, baked goods, arts and crafts, homemade candies, rag rugs and Braceville commemorative throws.
XA country bazaar is scheduled Saturday at Johnston Federated United Methodist Church, 6262 Kingsville Road. The bazaar will open at 2 p.m., and dinner will be served from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Family-style roast beef dinners will include a salad bar, squash, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes, desserts and beverage. The cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6-12 and free for those 5 and under. Takeouts are available by calling (330) 924-2611. Bazaar items include baked goods, candy, crafts, napkins, rag rugs, used books and vanilla.
XZion Lutheran Church, 10857 Main St., New Middletown, will hold a bazaar from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. In conjunction with the event a luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and spaghetti diners will be available from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Dinners will cost $6 for adults and $3 for children 7-12. CARD/BINGO PARTIES
XA card and bingo party is planned at 2 p.m. Sunday in Maxwell Hall at St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown, by the Altar and Rosary Society. Tickets are $4 and include lunch. Tickets will be sold at the door.
XThe Altar and Rosary Society of St. Peter and Paul Croatian Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, will sponsor a bingo and card party from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church hall. The cost is $3.50, and there will be refreshments.

XSt. Charles Home & amp; School Association will hold a fall craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Father Haidet Hall, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman. The event also will feature a gifts/crafts raffle table, bake sale, 50/50 drawing, food and snacks. Admission is free.
XTrumbull County Herb Society will hold a craft clearance sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Howland Senior Center, 8273 High St., Warren. NIGHTS AT THE RACES
XSt. Joseph Men's Club will sponsor a night at the races Saturday at 4545 New Road, Austintown. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and post time is 7:30. Patrons may take beverages and snacks. There will be free foods and beverages will be available.

XColumbiana County Homemakers will sponsor a "Browse and Buy Christmas Tea" from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Friends Church, 33937 Route 30, Lisbon. Homemade crafts and baked goods will be available, and there will be free coffee, tea and cookies. Lunches of soup and sandwiches will be available for sale.

XFriends of Fellows Riverside Gardens will present a floral design lecture at 7 p.m. Oct. 25 at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center in Mill Creek Park. Joe Mineo, floral designer, will speak on "Holiday Flowers." The program includes dessert and a silent auction of arrangements created during the lecture. The fee is $16 the public and $12 for member of the host group.
XHowland Women's Christian Fellowship will hold a quilt show and country shoppes event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Howland Community Church, 198 Niles-Cortland Road, Warren. A drawing for a Log Cabin quilt will be held Saturday. Food will be served. The cost is $2.
XYoungstown State University National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Chapter will hold its second Mr. and Miss NAACP Ball during Heritage Week, Oct. 22-29. The event will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center at YSU.
