FARRELL, Pa. -- The Outpatient Rehabilitation department at UPMC Horizon is observing National Physical Therapy Month with an open house from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at 2120 Likens Lane. Activities will include free posture screening, screening for proper use of assistive devices and demonstrations of aquatic exercises.
Depression-era program
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor will conduct a children's program, The Depression Era, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Participants will learn what life was like for children during the 1930s. Call (800) 262-6137 to register a child for the program.
Halloween in Howland
HOWLAND -- Halloween will be celebrated with a community parade, pep rally and bonfire Oct. 25, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Children interested in taking part in the parade should come to Howland Central Park gazebo by 6 p.m. The pep rally and bonfire will be at the high school baseball field.
