FORT MEADE, Md. -- Marriage vows were exchanged at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in the Historic Post Chapel at Fort George G. Meade by Jean Louise Blessing of Elkridge, Md., and Paul James Huesken of Atlanta. Parents of the couple are James and Judy Blessing of Hanover, Md., and Richard and Mary Elizabeth Huesken of Boardman.
Deacon David Page officiated, and a reception took place at Historic Oakland, Columbia, Md. After a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple are living in Atlanta.
The bride wore an ivory matte satin ballgown trimmed with sequins and beads. The skirt flowed to a cathedral train, and her headpiece made from appliques and beads from the groom's mother's veil. She carried her mother's heirloom handkerchief.
Matrons of honor were Sabrina Caffey and Suzanne Peters. They wore blue iridescent gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Rikke Blessing, the bride's sister-in-law, and Jeannie McCaffrew.
Richard Huesken was best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Steven Blessing, the bride's brother; John Holt; and Craig Smith.
Mrs. Huesken has a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Maryland and a master's in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. She is a consultant to Anteon Corp. in Dallas. Her husband graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and earned a master's in computer science at Johns Hopkins. He is a senior manager for PriceWaterhouse-Coopers in Atlanta.
