Knight won't return
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Bob Knight will not be back in Indiana next season after all.
Texas Tech, where Knight now coaches, and Indiana agreed Saturday not to play in Bloomington in December 2002.
The university made no other statement about the game, which was scheduled to be the final one under a three-game contract that was signed before Knight was fired at Indiana more than 13 months ago.
Patriots activate Terry Glenn
FOXBORO, Mass. -- The New England Patriots activated Terry Glenn on Saturday, clearing the way for the wide receiver to play in Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers.
Glenn returned to the team Monday for his first practice in more than two months after serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Although he practiced all week, the team did not have to activate Glenn until after Sunday's game because of a one-week roster exemption.
Coach Bill Belichick said this week that Glenn had better than a 50-50 chance of suiting up against the Chargers.
Glenn would be a welcome addition to the Patriots (1-3), who have just one touchdown by a wide receiver this season.
The four-game suspension ended after last Sunday's 30-10 loss in Miami.
McCarron ahead
LAS VEGAS -- Scott McCarron shot a 9-under-par 63 Saturday in ideal playing conditions to take a three-shot lead over Tom Lehman going into the final round of the Invensys Classic at Las Vegas.

On a day when play moved exclusively to the TPC at Summerlin course, McCarron began his round with a tap-in birdie on the first hole and ended it with a short birdie putt on the 18th.
In between, he made seven more birdies and was never in trouble as he moved past Lehman on the back nine.
Lehman shot a 67 and was three shots back, while Parry shot a 70 and was tied with Rory Sabbatini (63) and Bob Estes (68) for third.

Tyson wins when Nielsen stops
COPENHAGEN, Denmark -- Mike Tyson needed six rounds Saturday before stopping Brian Nielsen, the longest fight the former heavyweight champion has had since losing to Evander Holyfield five years ago.
Tyson bloodied the Dane in the second round and knocked him down in the third. But Nielsen fought gamely until the referee finally ended the fight because of his swollen left eye.
Tyson improved to 49-3 with two no-decisions and 43 KOs. Nielsen dropped to 62-2 with 43 KOs.
Tyson won every round and rocked Nielsen consistently. It was only the second time the Dane has been knocked down as a pro or amateur. He has never been knocked out.
