CAMPBELL -- Susan Kathryn Pitko of Poland and Michael Aage Madsen of Boardman were united in marriage Oct. 13 during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony solemnized by the Revs. Mike Swierz and the bride's uncle, the Rev. Edward Neroda, at St. Joseph the Provider Church.
A reception was held later that day at the Lockwood House in Boardman in honor of the daughter of Joseph Jr. and Loretta Pitko of Poland and the son of Aage and Donna Madsen of Newport Richie, Fla.
The couple left on a Caribbean cruise. They will live in Poland when they return.
Fashioned of silk and enhanced with pearl beading, the bride's off-the-shoulder-style gown featured a dropped waistline, a full skirt with inverted box pleats and a detachable cathedral train.
Champagne-colored gowns were worn by Marianne Parry, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Shelly Cerimele; Mary Hricko and Karen McBurney, the bride's sisters-in-law; and Karen Osiniak, sister of the groom.
The duties of best man were performed by Russ Hill, and groomsmen were Tom and Joe Pitko, brothers of the bride; Don Osiniak, the groom's brother-in-law; and Andy Estock.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in food and nutrition and is a food-service director at Indian Creek Nursing Center in New Castle, Pa.
The groom, a district sales manager with Sky Bank in Canfield, holds a degree in economics from YSU.
