Surprise party held to mark Tomich jubilee
GETTYSBURG, Pa. -- Mr. and Mrs. Victor J. Tomich of Gettysburg, formerly of Canfield, were honored Sept. 29 at a surprise dinner dance at The Oak View in Struthers in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple also renewed their marriage vows during a ceremony at Holy Trinity Church, Struthers, where they were married Sept. 29, 1951.
Mrs. Tomich, the former Carmelita Jasecko, is a homemaker.
Mr. Tomich retired from AT & amp;T in Maryland after more than 30 years of service.
The couple are members of St. Mary's Church, York, Pa.
Their children are Teann Scoggins and Cathy Cutler, both of York; Victor J. Tomich Jr. of Alaska; Maureen Kurtz, Hammondsport, N.Y.; Karen Kurtz, Medford, Ore.; Judy Sierer, Biglerville, Pa.; Laura Schenker, Clearwater, Fla.; and Suzanne Murray, Fairfield, Pa. The couple also have a foster son, Len Busby, Broken Arrow, Okla. The family circle also includes 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
