Bartholomews to be honored at open house

LISBON -- The Rev. and Mrs. John H. Bartholomew of Lisbon will be honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary during an open house Oct. 21 at Zion Hill Church of the Brethren, 14550 New Buffalo Road, Columbiana, where he serves as pastor.
The festivities will begin as 2:30 p.m. with a musical praise service followed by refreshments at 3:30. Guests are welcome, and it is requested that gifts be omitted.
Arrangements for the event are being made by the couple's children and their spouses, Tim and Marla Bartholomew of Kalispell, Mont.; Becky Hastings of Washingtonville; Jack and Barb Bartho-lomew of Dublin; Phil and Cathy Bartholomew of Lisbon; and Paul and Kathy Bartholomew of West Salem; along with their 11 grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
The Rev. Bartholomew and the former Ruth Ann Culler were married Dec. 9, 1951, at Union Avenue Church of Christ in Alliance.
