Animal Welfare League schedules fashion show

HOWLAND -- The Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County will have its 18th annual fashion show and luncheon from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Avalon Inn and Resort.
The theme is "Wish Upon A Star," and tickets are $25.
In addition to women's fashions, teens' and men's fashions will be modeled by Struthers teachers, Struthers police officers and a Warren firefighter. Models will be accompanied by dogs trained by inmates at Trumbull Correctional Institution through the Caring Companions program.
There will be a raffle for a bus trip for two for shopping in King of Prussia, Pa., and at QVC in West Chester, Pa., $250 cash and perfume. There also will be a show-only raffle for a print of Thomas Kinkade's "Garden of Promise," valued at $329. Door prizes will be given.
