Hunger-relief walk

Hunger-relief walk
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Greater Youngstown Crop Walk, sponsored by the Mahoning Valley Association of Churches, will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wick Park.
Proceeds will help Church World Service feed the world's hungry; 25 percent of proceeds will be designated for the needy in the Mahoning Valley. Funds that stay in the Mahoning Valley will be distributed among Protestant Family Services, Fish Samaritan House and Catholic Charities.
Church World Services is helping with relief efforts tied to the Sept. 11 attacks on America and helped Mahoning Valley families affected by a tornado that cleared a path through Mahoning and Trumbull counties in May 1985.
Several hundred walkers are expected to participate in the 6-mile walk.
