INDIVIDUAL DISASTER Preparedness plan



Have a battery-operated radio so you can listen to the Emergency Broadcast System for information and instructions.
Have stored water and nonperishable food sufficient for at least three days.
Have extra batteries for the radio and flashlights.
Have sanitation supplies and special-needs items for infants, older adults or disabled family members.
Develop a family plan of what to do and where to meet in case of a disaster. The plan should include locations and phone numbers where families can be contacted. It will ease anxiety.
Have a first-aid kit that includes prescription medicines.
