BASEBALL

Stevens Park Youth Cabin -- is where Niles Youth Baseball League will take officer nominations Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Elections will be held there Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m.
Prospect Baseball Camp -- will take place at Cafaro Field on Oct. 14. The event is open to high school students, age 15-18. The camp begins at 8 a.m. and will run until 6 p.m. There is a limit of 60 players. Some of the issues to be covered are compliance, financial aid, scouting and weightlifting. LOCAL GOLF RESULTS
St. Dominic's (Tanglewood) -- Sleepy Hollow Sleep Shop defeated Transit Tours to win the league championship. The champs included Kevin Benedict, Vince Fusco, Bob Berry, Carl Tesner, Ron Harvischak and Carl Stillwagon.

Mooneyh-Ursuline Hockey Club -- is selling tickets for the Youngstown State University -Westrn Kentucky football game Oct. 13 and Oct. 20 at the Shops at Boardman Park from noon to 4 p.m. Half of the proceeds go to the hockey club.

UW-Green Bay 7, YSU 1 -- Angie Barratto scored three goals for the Phoenix in a win over the Penguins. Kara White scored YSU's goal and keeper Christine Handte had 13 saves.
WOMEN'S TENNIS
Slippery Rock 5, Grove City 4 -- Kelly Anderson and Amanda Willoughby each won singles and doubles matches for the Rock (6-0).
Westminster 8, Theil 1 -- Shannon Haines won the No. 2 singles and teamed with Brenda Rowland to win the No. 1 doubles for the Titans (4-3)
MEN'S SOCCER
Gannon 3, Slippery Rock 2 -- Clint Ludke had a goal and an assist for the Rock in a loss to Gannon.
Mount Union 4, Muskingum 0 -- The Purple Raiders improve to 5-8.
VOLLEYBALL
Geneva 3, Carlow 0 -- Freshman Natatlic Vodnovic and junior Kylie Ruffer each had nine kills to lead Geneva (8-2)
MEN'S GOLF
Westminster College finished fourth in the 16-team Allegheny Invitational. Drew Aufderheide and Jim McGovern finished fifth and sixth respectively for the Titans.
