Shoplifting: A small white man in his mid-30s with black and gray hair shoplifted tobacco products from Giant Eagle, 525 E. Main St. He escaped in a white Chevrolet Corsica.

Theft: A total of $19.67 worth of food was stolen from Denny's Restaurant, 4927 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damage: A window was damaged in the 1000 block of South Raccoon Road.
Assault: A man was accused in an assault in the residential 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Theft: A citizens band radio and personal items were stolen from a vehicle in the residential 300 block of Eigen Street.

Breaking and entering: Monro Muffler, 4754 Mahoning Ave., was broken into by gaining entry through the overhead door. Money was stolen.
Aggravated menacing: A threatening note was left near the victim's apartment in the 800 block of North Meridian Road.
Theft: A 16-year-old female juvenile was accused of theft at Kmart.
Drug abuse: Police charged a man with drug abuse of suspected marijuana at Sammy Maxx, 1722 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: A total of more than 100 gallons of diesel fuel worth $144.65 was stolen from Speedway, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Checks were reported stolen from a business at Kennco, 522 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damage: The windshield on a 1996 Ford Probe was damaged at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Aggravated robbery: A man was robbed at gunpoint at Westminster and Oakwood avenues.
Attempted theft: Someone broke out a passenger-side window of a vehicle parked at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road. Nothing was reported stolen.
