YOUNGSTOWN -- Nuptial vows were exchanged at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 1 at Good Hope Lutheran Church as Ellen Marie Bucher and Daniel Brent Houk were united in marriage by the Rev. Robert Quaintance.
A reception was held afterward at the Lockwood House in Boardman for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Crawford of Lodi and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bucher Sr. of Wellsville, and the son of Mrs. Shirley Houk of Poland and Dr. Raymond Houk of Sarasota, Fla.
The couple left on a wedding trip to Aruba
The bride wore an Italian satin gown enhanced with embroidery, crystals and pearls.
Dawna Wenger served as the honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Amanda Sexton, Stephanie Fakelis and Jeanine Hogan. Flower girls were the groom's nieces, Julia and Lauren Houk and Allison Roach.
The duties of best man were performed by Jason Hogan, and groomsmen were Joseph Bucher Jr., a brother of the bride, and David and Jeffrey Houk, the groom's brothers. Guests were ushered by Ryan Houk, the groom's nephew, and Alexandria Houk, his niece.
The bride is a district operation trainer with Bed, Bath and Beyond, Boardman.
The groom graduated form Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree and is a district customer service trainer with Bed, Bath and Beyond.
