AUCTIONS
XGreenville Football Club will sponsor its second annual Chinese auction Saturday at Greenville High School cafeteria, Greenville, Pa. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and drawings will begin at 6. Admission is free. Among items to be auctioned are autographed pictures of Mario Lemieux and Walter Payton, collectibles, certificates for dinners, bowling, videos and tanning sessions, craft items and household items. BAZAARS
XChurch Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Churchill-Hubbard Road, Girard, will hold its "Heavenly Harvest" annual bazaar and turkey dinner Saturday. Bazaar hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A light lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. by the youth, and turkey dinners by presold ticket only will be served from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Dinners are $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for children under 12 and free to children under 3. XTrinity Lutheran Church, 56 N. Chestnut St., Niles, will hold its annual fall bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20. There will be a trash and treasure sale, crafts, baked goods, homemade soup and chicken and biscuit lunch.
CARD/BINGO PARTIES
XThe Ladies Guild of St. Charles Borromeo Church will sponsor a card and bingo party from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Father Haidet Hall, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman. There will be door prizes. CRAFT SHOWS
XSt. Benedict Auxiliary will sponsor a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul School auditorium, East Market Street, Warren. Rental tables are $20. XBrownlee Woods Presbyterian Church, Midlothian Boulevard and Irma Avenue, Youngstown, will hold a rummage sale from 8:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Items will be a dollar a bag on Wednesday.
XCortland Christian Church, 153 Grove Drive, Cortland, will sponsor a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will be available both days.
XA rummage sale will be held at New Springfield Church of God, 3649 E. Garfield Road, New Springfield from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday. Friday is $1 a bag sale in bags provided by church.
XAn annual fall rummage and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 18 and 19 at Newton Falls United Methodist Church, 336 Ridge Road, Newton Falls. A bag sale on Friday will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Lunch will be served.
XSt. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Friday will be half-price day.
SPECIAL EVENTS
XThe Ladies Aid Society of Delightful Evangelical Congregational Church will sponsor a quilt show from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, 2473 Barclay Messerly Road, Southington. There is no admission fee. Quilting will be demonstrated and there also will be displays of needlework, wall hangings, afghans and cross stitch.
