LAUREN LESNAKMICHAEL GRIPPA
CAMPBELL -- Lauren Alison Lesnak, 496 Park Drive, became the bride of Michael Drew Grippa, 1450 Carpenter Road, Athens, during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Aug. 25 at St. John the Baptist Church. The Rev. John Trimbur officiated.
Before leaving on a honeymoon to Maui, the newlyweds received guests during a reception at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
Their parents are David and Rochelle Lesnak of the Park Drive address and Paul and Kathy Grippa, 6989 Beechwood Drive, Athens.
Mrs. Grippa earned a bachelor's degree in forensic chemistry at Ohio University in Athens. She is employed in the preservation department at OU.
Mr. Grippa is the manager of off-campus housing at OU, where he earned a bachelor's degree in biology. He also served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps.
The bride's A-line Italian satin gown was designed with an embroidered bodice and chapel train.
The bride's sister, Erin Lesnak, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Lydia and Sarah Grippa, the groom's sisters, and Amber Knisely, Emily Baltic, Sara Snatchko and Christine Hetzel. They wore bamboo-colored dresses. Junior bridesmaid was Kayla Schneider and flower girl was Taylor Grippa, the groom's cousin.
John Grippa was best man for his cousin. Groomsmen were David Lesnak, the bride's brother, and David Willy, Brock Guthrie, Jason Hillard, Evan Ward and Kelly Toadvine. Ring bearer was Evan Grippa. Ushers were Richard and Gregory Grippa, his brothers, and Matt Robinson and Brian McNamara.
The couple live in Athens.
