SOLON -- St. Rita Church was the setting at 2 p.m. Sept. 8 for the wedding of Heather Flynn, a daughter of Thomas and Geraldine Flynn of Howland, and Joseph Ferencie, a son of Joseph and Alida Ferencie of Solon.
After accepting congratulations during a reception at the VFW Hall, the couple left on a wedding trip to Las Vegas and an Alaskan cruise. They live in Twinsburg.
The bride's white off-the-shoulder gown featured a beaded lace bodice and cap sleeves, and the skirt flowed into a cathedral train.
Smruti Desai was the honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Mandy Benner, the bride's sister; Renae Flynn, her sister-in-law; and Kristina Ferencie, the groom's sister. Flower girl was the bride's niece, Breanna Flynn.
The duties of best man were performed by Michael Hackett, and groomsmen were the bride's brother, James Flynn; Sean Rongers; and Michael Horvath. Junior groomsman was Julius Ferencie, the groom's cousin.
The bride graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and is employed at Integrity Trainers of Shaker Heights and at Six Flags of Ohio and National Market Measures, both of Solon.
The groom served with the U.S. Navy and graduated from Ohio State University. He is employed at Six Flags of Ohio in Solon.
