POLAND -- Emily Elizabeth McPherson, 1338 W. Sixth Ave., Columbus, became the bride of Michael Scott Sutton, Loggers Run Court, Dublin, during a ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 1 at Poland Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Robert Hoover officiated for the daughter of Richard and Della McPherson, 7168 Oak Drive, and the son of James and Jean Sutton, 10132 South Court, Brecksville.
Before leaving on a honeymoon to Maui, the newlyweds were honored at a reception at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center at Mill Creek Park, Youngstown. They live in Dublin.
A pharmacist, Mrs. Sutton is employed by Merck Medco, Columbus. She earned a bachelor's degree in pharmacy at Ohio State University, Columbus.
The groom graduated magna cum laude from OSU with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is an exterior design engineer in research and development at Honda in Marysville.
Crystal bead trim on the bodice highlighted the bride's ivory satin gown.
Ashley Williams of Baltimore was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Angela Newby, Columbus; Emily Nash, Indianapolis; Janelle Picciano, South Bend, Ind.; and Anne Meredith Beauch, North Canton. They wore caviar-colored dresses.
Jonathan Sutton, Brecksville, the groom's brother, served as best man. Groomsmen were David Sutton, Brecksville, his brother; J. David McPherson, Poland, the bride's brother; and Josh Morrow and Brock Stull, both of Columbus.
