ICL Zitkovic stellar in Tiger win over Mineral Ridge

Jackson-Milton won its first game of the season against Western Reserve.
MINERAL RIDGE -- Dan Zitkovic had 24 carries for 221 yards and two touchdowns as Springfield rolled to a 30-6 win over Mineral Ridge in the Inter-County League.
Jon Vivo added eight carries for 56 yards and Pat Birch was 12-of-18 for 138 yards and two touchdowns for Springfield (3-4, 3-1). Jim McLaughlin had two interceptions in the win.
Greg Dominic had 10 carries for 70 yards and two touchdowns for Mineral Ridge (1-6, 1-3).
Jackson-Milton 26, Western Reserve 8: BERLIN CENTER -- Jackson-Milton's Lee Teck had six catches for 98 yards and scored two touchdowns as the Bluejays won their first game of the season against Western Reserve.
Zak Nicholas hit 10-of-20 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown for Jackson-Milton (1-6, 1-3). Larry Davis had 19 carries for 56 yards and a touchdown and Dan Hallas had nine for 45 yards.
For Western Reserve (1-6, 0-4), Jake Zatchok was 5-of-11 for 75 yards and a touchdown to Billy Grier.
McDonald 41, Mathews 8: MCDONALD -- McDonald ran up a 27-8 first-half lead en route to an easy victory over Mathews.
Jeff Ashton had 23 carries for 231 yards and two touchdowns and Tyler Stanley added 16 carries for 112 yards for McDonald (4-3, 3-1).
Marc Burcham was 3-for-13 with a 68-yard touchdown to Adam Hughes for Mathews (2-5, 1-3).
