FARRELL, Pa. -- Police want to talk again with a roommate of a Fruit Avenue man shot to death in front of his home Wednesday.
Police did speak with Cleston C. "Terry" Forrester, 26, shortly after the slaying of Rasceo A. "Angel" Riley, 30, but Forrester has since disappeared, said Atty. Robert Kochems, assistant district attorney for Mercer County.
Kochems, speaking at a press conference at the Farrell city building Friday, said police have issued a warrant for Forrester's arrest but not for the slaying.
Police found a stolen car in the garage at 218 Fruit Ave., where both men lived, as well as drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana in the house when they served a search warrant to look for clues in the slaying.
The warrant charges Forrester with receiving stolen property, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Efforts to find him at various locations around the Shenango Valley have failed, and authorities are turning to the public to help, Kochems said.
Investigation continues: Kochems said police also want to talk to another of Riley's roommates, Kevin "Spoon" Richards, also known as Curtis King.
Richards wasn't home the night of the slaying and may not have been staying there recently, but Kochems said authorities want to interview him anyway.
They also want to talk to a man they identified only as Arthur "Oppie" Richards, a Farrell man in his mid-20s.
Police said they believe Riley knew his assailant, pointing out that he was shot from the side and still had a loaded 9mm handgun tucked in his waistband when he died.
Death was caused by a single gunshot wound to the head, and Riley was also struck in the left thumb by a bullet.
Police found four empty .45 caliber shell casings at the scene but have so far been unable to find any witnesses to the slaying.
Residents of the area heard the shots around 11:50 p.m. and came outside but said they didn't see anyone fleeing, police said.
Riley is of Jamaican descent and moved here from Brooklyn, N.Y., about midsummer, police said, adding that he had no known local employment.
Kochems said authorities still have no motive for the slaying.
