NCNW to install officers at membership luncheon
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Section of the National Council of Negro Women will celebrate 25 years with the council and install officers at an annual membership luncheon to be held at noon Oct. 13 at the Brentford House, 737 Myron St., Hubbard.
Judge Robert A. Douglas Jr. will conduct the installation ceremony for the 2001-2002 officers. Inducted will be Jacqueline Hardy, president; Viola Clark, first vice president; Jewel Black, second vice president; Carolyn Williams, recording secretary; Pamella Douglas, financial secretary; Shelley Englis, treasurer; Marilyn Wright corresponding secretary; Gwendolyn Bush, chaplain; Carol Donnelly, historian; and Lucille Seldon, parliamentarian.
The guest speaker will be the Rev. Eleanor Felder and Sandra Miles will provide musical entertainment.
Members will participate in an Angel Tree project that will benefit less fortunate children. There also will be a Chinese auction from 11 to 11:45 a.m.
