BREAST CANCER Awareness month October is breast cancer awareness month. The Mahoning Valley American Cancer Society has planned several activities:

Saturday: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., candlelight ceremony, gazebo area at Eastwood Mall, Niles.

Oct. 13: Noon, Columbiana County Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon, Columbiana County Career Center, 9364 state Route 45, Lisbon. A complimentary meal and activities are planned. Call (888) 227-6446 for reservations.
Oct. 13: 6:30 p.m., Pink Ribbon Gala, Antone's Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., Boardman. The cost for the dinner and auction is $125 per person. Call (888) 227-6446 for reservations.
Oct. 25: 7 p.m., the Trumbull County BEACON breast cancer support group, St. Joseph Health Center, 667 Eastland S.E., Warren.
Oct. 27: 11 a.m., Making Your Best Breast Health Plan, gazebo area at the Eastwood Mall in Niles.
Oct. 31: 6 p.m., Sisters Through Sharing, Northern Columbiana County breast cancer support group, Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., Salem.
