Man robs Boardman gas station

BOARDMAN -- Township police are looking for a man who robbed the Speedway gas station on Midlothian Boulevard.
A Speedway employee told police that a man wearing an oversized yellow hooded sweatshirt came into the store at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and immediately began taking cartons of cigarettes saying, "This is not a robbery. I just want some smokes."
Reports say the man realized the cartons were empty, became angry and demanded that the employee open the cash register.
He then asked for $50s and $20s, which were locked in a safe that could not be opened. The man eventually left with four cartons of cigarettes.
