JFK's Rossi gains 3 wins in tennis tournament

YOUNGSTOWN -- Heather Rossi of Warren John F. Kennedy High won three singles matches Wednesday and will face Liberty's Ashley Hoff in a quarterfinal match today, in the Division II sectional tennis tournament being held at Volney Rogers and Boardman High courts.
The top four singles players and doubles teams advance to next Thursday's district tournament at Massillon Jackson.
The top four singles players and doubles teams will meet in semifinal matches Saturday at Boardman High School, with championships to follow.
The slate
Karly Fedina of Mooney will meet the winner of the Hoff-Rossi match-up, while Tatyana Volochkovich of East Palestine goes against Emily Berry of Struthers in a singles semifinal.
Erin Bennett and Stephanie Kobuch of Poland take on Ashley Kelly and Barbie McDonald of West Branch, and Lisa Fedina and Anna Lungu of Ursuline face Becca Brocker and Britini Brocker of Mooney, in doubles semifinals.
The Division I sectional tennis tournament was being played today at Massillon Jackson High's courts.
