Jury indicts doctor on 2nd sex charge

LISBON -- A Calcutta doctor faces a second sex-related charge after being indicted recently by a Columbiana County grand jury.
Dr. Anil Bajaj, 38, of Lakeview Circle, is accused of gross sexual imposition, a fourth-degree felony bearing a maximum 18-month jail sentence.
Authorities say the crime occurred July 27 while Bajaj was examining a 36-year-old female patient from Wellsville.
The accusation: During the exam, Bajaj had the woman lift her blouse and touched her inappropriately, authorities say.
Last month, Bajaj was indicted on a sexual battery charge involving a 21-year-old female patient from Wellsville.
That crime also occurred July 27, authorities say. They claim Bajaj kissed and fondled the woman during an examination.
Sexual battery is a third-degree felony, bearing a maximum 5-year jail sentence.
Bajaj is free on $25,000 bond.
