ART AUCTIONS
XAn art auction to benefit the American Heart Association's Heart Walk will be held Oct. 14 at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital. A preview will begin at 2 p.m., and the live auction will start at 3.
BAKE SALES
X"Bake for America" bake sale is scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Patton's IGA, 880 W. Liberty St., Hubbard. The event will benefit the Feed the Children, New York Disaster Fund.
XGranny's Relay for Life Team will sponsor a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 20 at the SCOPE Howland Senior Center, 9273 High St., N.E., Warren. A basket will be raffled at 3 p.m. and there also will be a tag sale. Free admission and parking.
BAZAARS
XA holiday bazaar will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd. Crafts, homemade beef vegetable soup and baked items will be featured.
XChristian Life Center, 6101 S. Raccoon Road, Canfield, will hold a "Fall Spectacular" from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 13. Rental tables are $20; setup will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Crafters, sports enthusiasts who trade and sell cards and other sports memorabilia, concessionaires, baked goods and Christmas items are welcome. Lunch will be available at 11 a.m. and dinner at 4 p.m. An auction will be featured at 6 p.m., and there will be music, a health screening and demonstrations.
XJohn Calvin-St. Paul United Church of Christ, Mathews and Sheridan roads, will hold a bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will be available.
XA fall bazaar and trash and treasure sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 10 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald in the church hall. Proceeds will help fund the students' trip to the National Catholic Youth Convention. Tables can be rented for $15. Refreshments will be sold. To reserve a table call (330) 530-2400 by Nov. 4.
CARD/BINGO PARTIES
XSt. John Infant of Prague Guild, 152 Reed Ave., Campbell, will hold its annual bingo and card party at 2 p.m. Sunday in the church hall. Cost is $4. A light lunch will be served.
XSt. Mary Church will hold a card party from 2 to 5 p.m. in the church hall, corner of Seneca and High streets, Warren. Tickets are $5 at the door. There will be a salad bar, raffles and door prizes.
XSt. Patrick Altar Guild will sponsor a card and bingo party with a salad buffet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 14 in the church hall, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. Tickets are $5 at the door. They can be purchased from members or by calling (330) 743-1109. There will be a drawing and door prizes. Guests are asked to take cards.
CRAFT SHOWS
XLloyd Elementary School, 5705 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will hold a fall festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the school. Crafts, baked goods, candy and fall decorations will be featured. There also will be raffles. Proceeds will support the students and the school's PTA.
XNorth Shenango Community Center, Route 285, Espyville, Pa., will hold an autumn craft show from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $1 (free to those under 12). Lunch will be available, and door prizes will be awarded every half-hour beginning at 9:30.
XA fall craft show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Anne Social Hall, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. Light refreshments including ethnic foods will be available. This is no charge for admission.
FUND-RAISERS
XA Ride For Wolves benefit for the Richard E. Flauto Foundation will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Starting point will be the Boardman Inn, 7109 Market St., Boardman, with the destination being the Lisbon Fairgrounds for a distance of 30 miles. NIGHTS AT THE RACES
XCamelot Center Therapeutic Riding Program will sponsor a night at the races Saturday at the Vienna Fish and Game Club, 1508 Youngstown Kingsville Road N.E., Vienna. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with post time at 7. A buffet dinner will be provided. Cost is $25 for two
