SOCCER Champion girls beat Niles; Hubbard 10-0-2

WARREN -- Brianne Kochunas scored two goals and Christa Andamasaris had the other goal as the Champion High girls soccer defeated Niles 3-2 Saturday.
Megan Gray and Ashley Christie had assists for the Flashes (6-4).
Tessa Baragona and Ashley King scored goals while Liz Mientkiewicz had an assist for Niles.
Boys: BOARDMAN -- A.J. Giancola had two goals and one assist to lead Hubbard (10-0-2) to a 5-1 win over Boardman. Chris Styn added one goal and one assist, sweeper Matt Tringhese and Justin Daly had one goal apiece and Rafael Almeida had one assist. Goalie Justin Hayek had 13 saves.
Boardman's lone goal was by Leon Yarmolinskiy on a penalty kick in the second half, after Hubbard had taken a 4-0 lead. Joel Monaco had eight saves for the Spartans (7-4-1).
Fitch 5, Lake 1: AUSTINTOWN -- Junior Ryan Puskas scored twice while juniors Alex Castillo and Sam Camens and sophomore Keith Leiter had one apiece for the Falcons (9-3-1).
Junior Evan Mikula, sophomore Chris Frazzini, Camens and Castillo had assists for the winners on senior night.
Senior goalie Brett Gleydura had eight saves for Fitch while Lake goalie Dave DeSantis stopped six shots. Kyle Cummings scored the goal for Lake (3-6-3).
