Theft: An Austintown woman discovered her purse missing while she was at Salty Grogs, 1203 Boardman-Poland Road.
Attempted auto theft: A man reported someone tried to steal his 2000 Lexus RX300 sports-utility vehicle.
Vandalism: A worker at Robinwood Elementary School, 835 Indianola Road, reported a vandalized tractor belonging to the school.
Theft: About $800 in currency was missing from a safe at Pet Supplies Plus, 411 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Arrest: Police arrested a 22-year-old Warren man on a theft charge after a DVD player was stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Possible identity theft: A Hubbard man reported someone fraudulently used his identity during a traffic stop.
Theft: Two Campbell girls, ages 13 and 17 were arrested on a theft charge after $136 worth of clothing, shoes and batteries were stolen from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: Two 17-year-old Youngstown girls were arrested and charged with theft after a total of $50 worth of various merchandise was stolen from Wal-Mart.
Theft: A woman reported someone stole two packages of disposable washcloths from a bathroom in her apartment in the 8000 block of South Avenue.
Theft: A cellular phone was stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Lemans Drive.
Warrants: After conducting a traffic stop, police arrested a 45-year-old Youngstown man on two counts of failure to appear in court.

Theft: A compact disc player and amplifier were removed from a vehicle in the 400 block of Mathews Road.
Truck theft: Someone rented a 1990 Ford 1 1/2-ton truck from U-Haul Inc., 4627 Market St., and failed to return it.
Theft: A man reported his daughter's purse stolen while the girl attended a dance at Southern Park Mall.
Vandalism: A tire on a vehicle in the 800 block of Boardman-Canfield Road was flattened.
Burglary: Two teacups and four swan ornaments were stolen from an apartment's china closet in the 5000 block of Forest Park Place.
Warrant: After stopping her vehicle in the Southern Park Mall parking lot, police arrested a 49-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge.
Theft: A 17-year-old Youngstown girl was charged with theft after a Wal-Mart employee said he saw her conceal two cameras and a pair of men's pants and leave the store without paying for the items.
Theft: Two CDs, a CD player, a set of earphones and other items were stolen from Wal-Mart.
Criminal damage: Someone cut a 6-inch gash into a vehicle's convertible top, damaged its glovebox and broke the face plate off a cassette deck while it was parked in the Southern Park Mall lot.
Possible breaking and entering: A woman in the 7500 block of Hitchcock Road discovered someone cut a bedroom window screen to her residence.

Vehicle theft: A 1993 Fontaine trailer was stolen from a residence in the 7300 block of Westview Drive.
Criminal damage-theft: A face plate to a vehicle's dashboard was removed and a driver's-side window was broken while it was parked in the 6300 block of South Avenue.
Assault, criminal damage: An employee at Carlson Wagonlit Travel, 7221 Market St., reported being assaulted, and that $500 worth of damage was done to her car.
Warrant: A 59-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested at D & amp;D Towing, 8060 Southern Blvd., on a charge of failure to appear in court.

Warrant: Police arrested a 28-year-old Austintown woman on a charge of passing bad checks.
Bogus checks: An employee at Springfield Grille, 7413 Tiffany Blvd., reported someone passed two bad checks totaling $157.57.
Warrants: Police arrested a 31-year-old Boardman man at the Mahoning County Court on charges of identity theft and obstructing official business.
Robbery: An employee at the Microtel Inn, 7393 South Ave., reported a robbery in which a man stole $238 in cash.
Theft: Someone stole six propane tanks and a master lock from the Rick Speedway, 5823 South Ave.
Theft: A woman reported all four center caps missing from her car at Country Auto Sales, 6410 South Ave.
Auto theft: A 1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 was stolen from the China Gate restaurant parking lot, 60 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A car parked in the BW-3 parking lot had its antenna removed.
Auto theft: A woman reported her mother's 1988 Olds Cutlass stolen from the Dollar Discount store's parking lot, 1280 Boardman-Poland Road.
Burglary: A color computer printer, a videocassette recorder, a cordless phone, a Veteran's Administration check and a 13-inch TV were stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Glen Park Drive. Also, a woman living at the residence reported someone stole two checks worth a total of $558.41 and cashed them.
Sept. 27
Warrants: Police arrested a 16-year-old Boardman boy at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave., on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and obstructing official business.
Warrants: A 32-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on two outstanding warrants charging him with probation violation and failure to appear in court for a probation violation hearing. He also was charged with theft and carrying a concealed weapon after police found a folding knife in his jacket pocket.
Auto theft: A 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was stolen from Lou Ferrara's Auto Network, 481 E. Western Reserve Road.
Warrants, drugs: After pulling over her vehicle, a 37-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested and charged with taking the identity of another person and obstructing official business after police say she provided false information to avoid arrest. She also was charged with drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found suspected cocaine in her purse.
Theft: A cellular phone was stolen at the Southern Park Mall.
Theft, warrant: A 26-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on a theft charge after an employee at Gabriel Bros said he tried to switch price tags on some items. Police also discovered he was wanted for various unpaid fines.
Assault, criminal damage: A woman reported another driver tossed coins at her and struck her in the face, and hit the side of her vehicle near U.S. Route 224 and West Boulevard.
Criminal damage: A car's rear window was shattered in the 1900 block of Boardman-Poland Road.
Fraud: A woman in the 4300 block of Chester Drive reported someone used her debit card to make various fraudulent purchases.
Shoplifting: Two Poland women, ages 17 and 20, were arrested after four packs of cigarettes were taken from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Auto theft: A 1988 Buick LeSabre was stolen in the Southern Park Mall parking lot.
Theft: A mountain bike was stolen from a carport in the 4400 block of South Avenue.
Domestic violence: A 22-year-old man was arrested on a domestic violence charge after a woman in the 70 block of Clifton Drive said he assaulted her. The woman had various injuries.

Criminal damage: A car's passenger-side plastic window vent shade and exterior door trim were damaged, and a side window was knocked off track, while it was parked in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.Warrant: A 36-year-old Boardman man was arrested on a criminal damaging charge.
Criminal damage: Someone cut two plastic door windows on a vehicle in the 6800 block of Lockwood Boulevard.
Theft: Police arrested a 16-year-old Youngstown girl on a theft charge after a pair of athletic shoes was stolen from Gabriel Bros.
Criminal damage: Someone tossed large landscape rocks onto a vehicle, damaging its windshield, in the 400 block of Indianola Road.
Assault: A man in the 5300 block of Jeanne Lynn Drive reported two men assaulted him.
Warrants: Police stopped a vehicle for towing a bicycle and arrested a 30-year-old Youngstown man on two counts of failure to appear in court.
Warrant: A 39-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on a charge of failure to appear in court.
Robbery: Police arrested a 40-year-old Warren woman at Payless Shoesource in the Southern Park Mall after an employee who tried to detain her after various merchandise was stolen said the woman grabbed her arm and assaulted her. A co-defendant was charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found two suspected crack pipes in his sock.

Criminal damage: A man reported his driveway lamp pole was damaged in the 7400 block of East Parkside Drive.
Theft: A New Wilmington, Pa., woman reported her purse stolen at Southern Park Mall.
Theft: An AM-FM CD player was taken from a car parked in the 10 block of Southwoods Drive.
Theft: A man in the 4600 block of Euclid Boulevard reported his daughter's bicycle stolen from the WKBN parking lot, 3930 Sunset Blvd.
Robbery: Police arrested a 30-year-old Youngstown man on a robbery charge after five DVDs were stolen from Wal-Mart and three employees said the man fought with them in an attempt to escape.

Warrant: After a 22-year-old Rock Creek, Ohio, man was arrested on a charge of driving under a suspended license, police arrested a passenger in the car on an outstanding Portage County warrant.
Sept. 29
Warrant: After stopping his vehicle on state Route 616, police arrested a 20-year-old Youngstown man on an outstanding warrant charging him with failure to appear in court.
