Mill manager pleads innocent to noise

AUSTINTOWN -- The general manager of the Mill nightclub on South Raccoon Road has entered an innocent plea to a citation for excessive noise at the club. Christian Rinehart entered the plea Monday night at Mahoning County Court here. A pretrial hearing will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 19 in the court.
The club was cited early Monday morning after police said they heard excessive noise coming out of two open doors on the club's east side.
Police reports say the club's staff has been warned about excessive noise eight times since June 2. The citation, which was filed at about 1 a.m., says that "numerous warnings went ignored and the problem was not corrected by management."
Some residents of Laurie Drive, directly behind the Mill, also have complained to police about noise from the club in the past. Police warned Rinehart that the nightspot's owners could be fined at least $1,000 if other local residents complain about noise from the club in the future.
