Lordstown cops seek person who put camera in restroom

LORDSTOWN -- Police are investigating a small video camera found in the women's restroom at a village restaurant, and the owner is offering a reward to find out who put it there.
Chief William Catlin said police were called to Dairy Queen on Tod Avenue S.W. Saturday evening when the camera was found inside a heating duct.
Not operational: Catlin said police are trying to determine who placed the camera in the restroom. The equipment was not operational.
David Gwara, owner of the business, said he didn't place the camera there and has no idea who did.
"I'm now offering a $1,000 reward to try to find out who would do this," Gwara said.
Surveillance cameras: Surveillance cameras were installed at the restaurant as part of an addition within the last few weeks, Gwara said, but all of those cameras are in plain view.
"It looked like someone hastily stuck it in the vent," he said.
Anyone with information should call village police.
The business employs 17 people.
The restroom, which consists of one stall, is used by employees and customers.
